Georgia's Governor has banned the sale of candy flavored like marijuana to anyone under 18. What's your take?
I'm in agreement with the Governor. Kids should not be eating candy that takes like pot and has names like 'Kronic Kandy' and 'Pot Suckers.' It makes it seem like using drugs is cool.
I don't agree with the ban. No one is being hurt by eating this candy, so what's the big deal?
Do We Really Have to Use a Condom?
My boyfriend and I are sexually active. When we first started having sex, we used condoms. But one time he ran out of them, so we agreed that we'd still have intercourse but that he'd pull out before he finished. Now we are using condoms less and less. I know, I know, use protection to stay away from STDs. I can tell you that we are both 100% clean. He has gotten tested, and he's the first person I've ever gotten intimate with. But now I keep hearing people talk about how they know other people who have done it like that and some have gotten pregnant. Can I still get pregnant if my boyfriend doesn't ejaculate inside me?

Our response to your question could actually be one word here: YES. Yes, you can absolutely get pregnant even if your boyfriend does not climax inside of you. How? Well, there is the very real possibility of his making a mistake and not pulling out in time. Plus, men have pre-ejaculatory fluids at the tip of their penis even before they climax, and those fluids contain some amount of sperm. As you probably remember from health class, it only takes one sperm to fertilize an egg! This is why if you are going to be sexually active, your guy needs to wear a condom from the very beginning of the act to the very end.

Also, even though you said you have both been tested for STDs (good call!), that does not guarantee that one of you does not have one anyway. Some people who have been infected with the HIV virus may not test positive right away, and there are also some STDs that don't always show up on a test, for instance, herpes or HPV (the virus that causes genital warts) unless the person is having an outbreak.

The reality is, if you are having sex, you are taking some degree of risk of getting pregnant or transmitting, or receiving, an STD. If you practice safer sex (as in, using a condom at all times), you cut that risk dramatically. Don't play around with your body or your health. You can still be close and intimate, even with a condom.
