A new study shows that by age 15, daily physical activity is down to approximately 50 minutes during the week, and 30 on weekends, which is a major drop from young kids, who are active about three hours a day. Do you have an active lifestyle?
Yes, I am often running around, or exercising, or just moving in some way.
No, I'm probably about average. Between schoolwork, after-school jobs, and trying to catch up with friends, it's impossible to find time to be active more than that.
Where Did My Period Go?
I haven't gotten my period for over two months. What's wrong with me? I'm a virgin, so I'm definitely not pregnant.

—Laura, 16, MA

It's not unusual for young women to have irregular cycles for the first few years after they start menstruating. Your cycle might still be in flux, which, on a month-to-month basis, can impact the time between periods, the length of time you have it, and even the amount of flow. Weird, right? One way to learn what is "normal" for your body, since everyone varies, is to track it on your calendar. You can even purchase a special calendar for this purpose, like the Giant Roller Coaster Period Chart available at Vinnie's: www.tamponcase.com.

Besides your cycle adjusting, there are other reasons your period might be late. You might not be eating enough, you could be majorly stressed out, or perhaps you're exercising more than usual. As long as you're feeling healthy otherwise, there's probably no reason to worry. Just make sure you're eating enough, resting enough, and not allowing stress to overwhelm you. More than likely your "time of the month" is just around the corner. If you skip another month, give your doc a call just to be sure. (If you're really concerned, go ahead and give her a call now.)

You're a virgin, but if you were sexually active, it would be a good idea to see your doctor or visit a local clinic, such as Planned Parenthood, and get a pregnancy test. We don't want to scare you, but even if you used birth control, you can never be 100 percent sure it worked. Good luck and don't worry!
