I hate to say it, but here's the truth: You're his personal lip masseuse, nothing more. Harsh as it sounds, he's grooving on you for the kisses but not enough to give you the public girlfriend label. Okay, okay, there's a superslight chance that he doesn't want to risk rejection by asking you out. But that's doubtful. He might have a girlfriend, or maybe he lusts after you but doesn't like you-like you. Sounds like a loser to me. But if you're really into him, ask him out. If a trip behind the bleachers for another makeout session is the only kind of date he wants, tell him to go kiss his Carmen Electra poster and find someone who will take you on an actual date, because that's what you deserve.
