Are you close with your significant other's family?
Yeah, pretty close. I spend a lot of time there.
Not really. It's kind of awkward to hang out with them.
I'm not seeing anyone right now.

He Can't Kiss
My boyfriend is the worst kisser. I really like him, but I'm starting to get bored because of this. Should I dump him?

—Lili, 15, Clarkville, IL

Ugh — I can relate. The worst kisser I've ever experienced seemed to think it was his job to completely cover my lips with his open mouth, then try to work his slimy tongue along my teeth. Gross! Another guy used his lips like a fist, coming at my face so hard he almost took my eye out with his nose. Horrifying experiences like these usually signal a serious lack of chemistry — and you just can't fix that. If there's something specific about his technique that might help, speak up and give him a chance. As you probably already know, boys aren't the most perceptive types. So the key is to show him what you like without making him feel insecure. He wants you to want to kiss him, so he should catch on after a little while. If he doesn't, gently send him on his way. But don't tell him why. No need to traumatize the boy, and besides, his kissing style might be totally perfect for some other girl.
