Are you close with your significant other's family?
Yeah, pretty close. I spend a lot of time there.
Not really. It's kind of awkward to hang out with them.
I'm not seeing anyone right now.

Where Are All The Boys?
I'm about to be a freshman at an all-girls private school. How will I meet guys?

—Paula, 14, San Rafael, CA

Most all-female schools have "brother" schools (all-boys academies where the guys are just as opposite-sex deprived as you are) with which they have events. But school is just one of many male-interface opportunities. There's the mall, movies, parties, and other places where you're bound to meet guys, especially if you develop that slightly superior private-school-girl appeal they die for. If you have a brother (who is preferably a little older), you can crash his gatherings. Stay in touch with friends from junior high who are in public school, and you can make sure they invite you out with them. You'll be the special guest star and thus all the more attractive. Or you may want to get a job where you can flirt and get paid. The boys are there, you'll just have to get creative.
