Do you consider some of the people you meet and talk to only online to be your friends?
Sure! If we spend a lot of time talking, what does it matter if we've met in person or not?
No. I might enjoy having conversations with people online, but I don't consider someone my friend unless I've spent time with them in person.
How Responsible Are You?
Can you be trusted with the important things, or do your friends refuse to even dare lend you a lip-gloss?

The Tabloids Were Right (Unfortunately)
Rumors have been circulating for a while that Mary-Kate Olsen suffers from an eating disorder. Pictures of her looking gaunt next to her more filled-out sister, Ashley, popped up in the tabloids and provided even more grist to the rumor mill.

Well, apparently the mags were right. People reports that Mary-Kate has checked into a clinic to get treated for an eating disorder. "Mary-Kate Olsen recently entered a treatment facility to seek professional help for a health-related issue. She is thankful for the encouragement and support of her friends and family who are with her every step of the way," her spokesman, Michael Pagnotta, said in a statement.

It has been an eventful year for the Olsen twins who released their first major movie, New York Minute, graduated from high school, and celebrated their 18th birthday. Hopefully, she can beat the illness before starting her freshman year at New York University in the fall.

Not That The OC Would Sway Our Political Views or Anything...
Rock the Vote launched its 2004 Get on the Bus tour in Los Angeles last week with a little help from Snoop Dogg, Tom Cruise, Kelly Osbourne, and The O.C.'s Rachel Bilson and Adam Brody. The celebs attented a kick-off party at the Avalon hotel to celebrate the traveling extravaganza, which will hit 50 cities with concerts that include artists Maroon 5 and the Dixie Chicks.

The Vote Mobile is hoping to get 20 million people ages 18 to 30 to register to vote along the way. "Young people have an unprecedented opportunity to be the swing vote in this election...the bus tour will be a catalyst for bringing young people together to talk about the issues at stake, such as jobs, health care, and the war in Iraq," said Rock the Vote president Jehmu Greene in a press release. Going Stag Has Never Been Cooler
Some things about prom will never change: pouffy dresses that match brightly colored cummerbunds, bad Djs, and annoying photographers, for instance. But one thing has changed: instead of seeing lonely-looking girls sitting down during a slow song because they have no date, you'll see them having the time of their lives.

The New York Times reports that more teens are opting to go to prom alone. While guys forgo dates to save money on expensive prom tickets, girls like to be free to mingle among their friends. Amanda Palma, a 17-year-old high school senior in New York was one of them. She turned down invitations from two guys. ''I think it's better that way. You don't feel obligated to be with someone the whole night. You just enjoy yourself,'' she said. Palma had a great time at her prom, minus the matching cummerbund.

What We're Talking About This Week:
The Celebrity Name Game
Prince switched his name to an unpronounceable symbol after his recording contract soured; Puffy changed his to P.Diddy after narrowly escaping jail time; and now Madonna has adopted the nickname Esther to escape the bad energy of her mom's early death from cancer. Maybe Britney Spears should change her name to escape all the bad luck she's been having, including a busted knee and a canceled world tour?

Simpsons Mania
Between The Ashlee Simpson Show and Newlyweds, shouldn't we start calling MTV, SimpsonsTV?
