Georgia's Governor has banned the sale of candy flavored like marijuana to anyone under 18. What's your take?
I'm in agreement with the Governor. Kids should not be eating candy that takes like pot and has names like 'Kronic Kandy' and 'Pot Suckers.' It makes it seem like using drugs is cool.
I don't agree with the ban. No one is being hurt by eating this candy, so what's the big deal?
Back-to-School Eating Smarts
We were reading The Dorm Room Diet: The 8-Step Program for Creating a Healthy Lifestyle Plan That Really Works, by Daphne Oz, and we realized there was a lot we didn't know about eating well and treating our bodies right. Do you think you have snack smarts, or could you use a refresher course in nutritious nibbling? Take this quiz, using all the info gleaned from Daphne's book, to test your knowledge.

1.Why is eating close to bedtime a bad choice?
Because it takes more food to get you full than it does earlier in the day.
Because your body is busy digesting the foods you just ate, so you don't sleep as soundly.
Because it can make you break out.
2.If you don't get enough calories, what can happen?
Your body goes into starvation mode and you can wind up gaining weight more easily.
 Food stops tasting as good.
 You have funny cravings.
3.Why are carbohydrates so important?
 They help improve your eyesight.
Carbs zap fat from other foods.
They act as fuel for your body and give you immediate energy.
4.Your best bet for breakfast is:
to skip it, so you save calories.
a bowl of oatmeal, a glass of milk and a piece of fruit.
 pancakes and coffee.
