•  Band of the Month: Eisley
The beautiful, floaty melodies on their debut EP, Laughing City, earned them the admiration of the Brit pop band Coldplay, and ours.
•  Band of the Month: Lillix
We fell in love with these Canadian rockers the instant they set foot in our offices.

Have you played 'Grand Theft Auto IV' yet?
Not yet.
Yeah, it's great.
Yes. It was okay but definitely overrated.

Who hates miley cyrus?
"I think younger girls can relate to her and her music, which is why, I think, she has been such a sucess. While her voice isn't my taste, and the lyrics sometimes exasperate me, I think it's sort of natural that young girls and tweens like her. And I don't hate people, especially those I have never met."...read more
Artist of the Month: Fabolous
Meet our latest Artist of the Month, Fabolous, then listen to his single, , here.

Who Is He?: A Brooklyn-born rapper whose debut album, Ghetto Fabolous, featured the singles "Can't Deny It" and "Young'n (Holla Back)." Now he's got a second CD, Street Dreams, out.

Where You've Heard Him: On his own albums, of course, but the busy 23-year-old also opened for Nelly on the Nellyville tour, appeared as a character in the NBA Live 2003 video game, and showed up in a Reebok ad.

Where His Name Came From: The influential radio hot DJ Clue, who discovered Fab. It was on DJ Clue's radio shot on Hot 97 in New York that people first heard Fabolous rap.

On His New Sound: "'Street Dreams' has a bit more maturity than 'Ghetto Fabolous.' During the last year and a half, between album releases, I've been more places, seen more things, seen more people. I got to combine that all in the rhymes of 'Street Dreams.'"

On His Favorite Collaborators: "It's always fun working with Lil Mo. She's so cool, she's such a real person and down to earth. It's cool working with Snoop Dogg because you know, Snoop Dogg is a fool and just a cool guy, too."

Equal Opportunity Fan: "I love listening to female rappers. Each girl has their own little toughness, but [mostly I listen for their] style and maybe their sophistication. Them being sophisticated and sassy, I like that more in the female rappers than in the male rappers."

When Rappers Fight: "In this business it's very competitive, so sometimes you're gonna have a beef or arguments between two competitors. Hopefully it doesn't turn into anything violent or anybody getting killed. I just look at it as a battle of competition, like who wants to be on top and who wants to be the best music."

What He Says To People Who Think He Just Got Signed Because He's Hot: "I think good looks is a plus, it helps you but...I think my talent is the first that DJ Clue and the labels heard. If everybody in the industry was good-looking, then everybody would just go get a good-looking person, find somebody to write for them, or something like that and that's it."

Single Or Attached? Single. Definitely. "I'm keeping it open, I'm very single right now. I'm on a tour, so I'm not really looking for a relationship right now."
