The O.C. Party
Last night was possibly the best night of our lives. Why? Because we hosted a party in honor of The O.C.—and hung out with Mischa Barton, Ben McKenzie, and Adam Brody, who are on our December cover.
And since not everyone could come, we decided that the next best thing would be to share our secrets from the party with you. Sure, it's not quite as good as dancing with the cast, but it's better than nothing, right?
The location: A New York City nightclub called LQ
What they wore: Mischa looked amazing in a flowy yellow dress and heels that we would've fallen over in. Ben unfortunately did not wear a tank top, but we could still see his muscles even in his black button down Levi's shirt and jeans. Adam wore a blue Atari T-shirt and a navy zip-up hooded sweatshirt under a blazer. Did he think the party was outside? He told us he was pretty hot, but didn't take his blazer off until the interviews were over.
Who did what: Mischa was all about dancing and showed off her moves with her posse. Ben chilled at a table with his friends and family, including his cousin, actress Sarah Drew (who's also in our December issue). Though Sarah's a successful actress who's in the movie Radio, she couldn't stop gushing about how awesome Ben is. Uh, tell us something we don't know. Adam cruised around the nightclub with a mob of girls following his every move. We swear it wasn't us... most of the time.
Why they have hand cramps today: Just about every person at the party (and there were 500) wanted autographs and photos with the cast, and the three never said no.
The biggest—and best—information we learned: Adam is now single. Yes, he and his girlfriend broke up.
The biggest shock: Adam didn't want to date us. Just kidding—here's the real answer: How nice they are! We knew they were really sweet, but we figured that they'd get annoyed by the constant camera flashes or weirded out by the crowds of ogling fans. They didn't complain once. Makes us love them even more, if that's possible.
