Aww Yeah: Jared Padalecki
Where you've seen him: On Gilmore Girls,as Rory's oh-so-perfect boyfriend, Dean. On May 7, he makes the leap to movies chasing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen in the romantic comedy New York Minute.
Why we picked him: Besides being incredibly hot, the 21-year-old from San Antonio, TX, gives us chills when he calls us "sweetheart" in his soft, Southern drawl.
If she's good enough for Justin Timberlake... Jared's girlfriend, Sandy McCoy, whom he met while filming the upcoming indie thriller Cry Wolf, was Justin's love interest in 'NSYNC's "Pop" video. "We make each other laugh, which is important," says Jared. "Looks only last so long and passion is fleeting."
Seeing double: Jared, who plays Mary-Kate's boyfriend in New York Minute, says it was easier to tell the twins apart when they were in wardrobe, because Mary-Kate plays a punk rocker and Ashley's the studious, preppy one. "Though, in real-life they're a lot like their characters," he says. "So if I ran into them at Starbucks, I'm positive I could tell them apart — at least I think."
The human calculator: "Whenever I'm at dinner with buddies and the bill comes, I quickly figure out the math and everyone's like, 'Wow, how'd you do that?' " says Jared, who graduated magna cum laude from high school. He would have been an engineering major at the University of Texas if he hadn't gotten the role on Gilmore Girls.
I scream, you scream... Jared's obsessed with Cold Stone Creamery's ice cream. "I could eat it all day, every day," says Jared. "I'm actually a little lactose intolerant, so it kind of makes me feel sick, but I can't stop myself." One more reason he controls himself: "I'd be about 400 pounds if I didn't."
Celeb body swap: He'd choose Bill Gates. "I'd donate a lot of money to different charities and then he'd re-inhabit his body the next day and be like, 'Whoa, where'd all my money go?'"
