Aww Yeah! Jesse Spencer
Name: Jesse Spencer

Where You'll See Him: Playing Brittany Murphy's love interest, an adorable musician who sings really corny love songs, in this month's comedy Uptown Girls.

Why We Picked Him: Because of his scruffy good looks and ruggedly sexy Australian accent.

Art Imitating Life: Jesse, 24, admits he's performed some cheesy music offscreen, too. "We were crap," he says about the rock band he sang and played guitar in during high school. "We changed names every gig. At one point, we were just called the Band."

But He Hasn't Given Up Altogether: Recently, Jesse wrote a song called "The Day is Dawning" as a one-year anniversary present for his girlfriend. He's such a romantic that he even used photos from their vacation together to make the cover of the tape.

Paging Dr. Spencer: If Jesse wasn't an actor, he probably would've gone into medicine like his father and two brothers. Now his sister's also studying to be a physician. "I'm the black sheep of the family," jokes the Melbourne native.

His Not-So-Little Secret: Jesse was a huge heartthrob on the Australian soap Neighbours for six years and got more fan mail than anyone else in the cast. "I'm glad I'm back to being a nobody," he says. That'll change soon enough.
