She may look sweet, but this 13-year-old star of the August 7 release Spy Kids 2: The Island of Lost Dreams could beat you up!
There aren't many movie roles like your character, Carmen Cortez, that let teens kick butt.
Who else gets to ride around in a harness or kick people? It's so much fun.
In this one you get your first kiss. Was that weird?
A little bit, especially since I just got my first one in real life, too. I actually had to play the screen kiss before I got my real one, so it kinda helped me out.
Have you been starstruck yet?
I went to an 'NSYNC concert and I got to meet JC and a couple other guys [in the group] and I was like, "Oh my gosh." I never act that way, so it was embarrassing.
You describe yourself as a tomboy growing up. Are you still one?
I'm not like, "Let's wear a dress for this, let's wear a skirt for that." A lot of people are asking me [since I'm about to start high school], "You gonna sign up for cheerleading?" And I'm just kind of like, "Uh, no." I'd like to play football.
