Bands of Brothers
United by noogies, wedgies, and the same parents

Chevelle
Lineup: The Loeffler brothers — Joe, 22 (bass), Pete, 25 (vocals/guitar), and Sam, 27 (drums)
And the band is born: The guys started performing at parties in their hometown of Chicago in 1995. In 2002, the band — named after Daddy Loeffler's favorite car — released their breakthrough CD, Wonder What's Next.
Brotherly love: Three brothers crammed into a tour bus? Of course there's going to be some fighting. But these guys enjoy it. "It feeds the music," says Pete.
Sibling rivalry: In 2001, Joe quit the group. "He was tired of touring," says Sam. So Joe moved back in with mom and dad and got a job delivering pizza. Yes, his brothers were nice enough to take him back the next year.

Lifehouse
Lineup: Brothers Rick Woolstenhulme, 24 (drums), and Sean Woolstenhulme, 22 (guitar), along with Sergio Andrade, 26 (bass), and Jason Wade, 23 (vocals/guitar).
And the band is born: When Rick auditioned for Lifehouse four years ago, he brought his kid brother Sean along. "But they weren't looking for a guitar player, so I got the gig and he didn't," says Rick. Then last year, after touring with the Calling, Sean replaced Lifehouse's old guitarist. "We needed a younger and more eccentric player," says Rick.
Brotherly love: The guys never fight over girls because, "I'm the obnoxious loud guy and Sean's a non-party, quiet dude," says Rick. "So the girls who talk to me are a different breed. It's all good."
Sibling rivalry: "When I was 9, my dad bought me and Sean a drum set," says Rick, who admits he banged on everything — including his brother — before his dad's purchase. "I elbowed Sean out of the picture and started hogging it." Good thing, otherwise they couldn't have both ended up in Lifehouse.

Wakefield
Lineup: Aaron Escolopio, 23 (drums) and Ryan Escolopio, 19 (vocals/guitar), are in the band with their cousin, Mike Schoolden, 22 (bass/vocals), and childhood friend, J.D. Tennyson, 19 (guitar/vocals).
And the band is born: Before Aaron joined Wakefield he was in Good Charlotte. "For two years we were like, 'Aaron, man, you should join us,' " says Ryan. All that pestering finally paid off in 2001.
Brotherly love: "There's a hint of Oasis brothers in us," says Aaron, who still shares a "messy" bedroom with Ryan in their parents' basement in Mechanicsville, MD. "But I'm stuck with him, so we make it through no matter what."
Sibling rivalry: "I got a tattoo when we were on the road and the first thing Ryan said was, 'I'm telling Mom.' And he did," says Aaron. But according to Ryan, Aaron is the real tattletale. "He tells Mom everything," says Ryan. "I don't tell. I swear!"
