What's Hot This Week
April 22, 2008
Music:
Ashlee Simpson — Bittersweet World

Aside from the fact that there is very little that is bitter about Ashlee's life (she's got a cool and creative fiancé Pete Wentz, a fabulous career, and a baby on the way) there's not much else to find fault with on this great CD, the singer's third. She's working with some amazing talent, like Chad Hugo from the Neptunes, and Timbaland, and the result is an upbeat, catchy disc destined to be played all summer long.

On Tour:
Natasha Bedingfield/The Veronicas/Kate Voegele
Natasha Bedingfield
with special guests The Veronicas and Kate Voegele have announced a summer tour, kicking off May 21 in South Carolina, and running through July. It's the UK sensation's first-ever headlining U.S. tour, and with this talented trio of acts, this is shaping up to be one of the summer's must-see shows.

Book:
Rap-Up: The Ultimate Guide to Hip-Hop and R&B by Cameron Lazerine and Devin Lazerine

Cameron and Devin Lazerine created the popular magazine Rap-Up, so they're total fonts of information when it comes to all things hip-hop. If you want an interesting, fun, and in-depth look at the genre, pick up this cool book today.

Movie:
Baby Mama

Fierce, funny Tina Fey and Amy Poehler star in this sharp comedy about two women with nothing in common — except a baby coming in nine months.

DVD:
Cloverfield

Five friends try to survive a night of mayhem and chaos after a giant monster storms New York. Told from their point of view, this flick is just scary enough to give you a few jolts but not horrifying enough to keep you up for a week. Perfect!
