Are you excited to see 'The Dark Knight'?
Very. It looks amazing. Plus, I want to see Heath's final performance.
Not really. I don't love movies like that. I'd rather catch 'Mamma Mia!'.

What's Hot This Week
September 4, 2007
TV:
2007 MTV Video Music Awards

Every singer, dancer, and general entertainment industry "personality" not currently stuck in jail or rehab is heading to Las Vegas this week for the MTV Video Music Awards. Expect stars galore, including Kanye West, Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, and Chris Brown.

Book:
Violet on the Runway by Melissa Walker

Think the life of a teen model sounds like fun? You may be more thankful for your regular old "boring" existence after reading Melissa Walker's funny tale of high school senior Violet, discovered by a hot New York model scout while hanging out in her local movieplex.

Movie:
R.L. Stine's The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It

Emily Osment, Cody Linley and Brittany Curran star in this made-for-DVD movie from the creator of Goosebumps. Emily plays a 13-year-old Goth who is miserable in a new school — so she plays pranks on the popular kids. Harmless... until she looks for more ways to freak out her classmates, and starts reading from a mysterious book called The Evil Thing. We love how The Haunting Hour manages to be scary without resorting to gore and violence. Rent it for some back-to-school scares for you and your friends.

DVD:
Georgia Rule

It bums us out that Lindsay Lohan gets so much more attention for her off-screen exploits, because she's a great actress and makes interesting movies. Case in point: Georgia Rule, in which Lindsay plays Rachel, a rebellious teen whose mother Lilly (Felicity Huffman) can no longer handle her, so they head back to Lilly's mother's house for some help from Grandma.

Music:
Chiodos — Bone Palace Ballet

Michigan emo-metal band Chiodos follows up their cult hit All's Well That Ends Well with their new album, Bone Palace Ballet. It's already getting great buzz, so look for them to have a total breakthrough year.
