Style With Scruples We love the Conscience Tees brand, which offers stylish, well-made T-shirts that express messages of social and environmental awareness. Each shirt has its own name, which reflects how the funds are used from its purchase: The shirt called Protect saves our waters; Breathe improves air quality; and Save protects threatened polar bears. These are just a few of the cool tees that make a statement. The latest from the label is Support, shown, which was designed to support the New Orleans Green Project, which helps people rebuild the homes damaged by Hurricane Katrina. We like that the brand uses only sustainable organic fabrics and 100% renewable energy sources and commits a percentage of all sales to help fund relevant environmental organizations. Visit www.consciencetees.com to check out the tops (for men and women) as well as reusable totes for yourself. |

Pete Wentz's Latest Venture Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz is scheduled to launch a junior sportswear line at Nordstrom this month, featuring tees, hoodies, jeans and accessories, under the Clandestine Industries label, Pete's brand that he launched four years ago and sells online and at his Chicago store. Wentz told WWD that "technically [the clothing at Nordstrom] will be hanging in the young women's area, but personally I make these clothes as if they are unisex." Starting April 9, the stores will begin promoting the fashions by selling a limited-edition CD-DVD titled Making Mischief. It will feature 10 unreleased songs from the star and be available for $4.95 with a Clandestine Industries purchase. |

Rachel Bilson Does Denim Former O.C. star Rachel Bilson has long been considered one of young Hollywood's most effortlessly chic stars, so we weren't surprised to find out that DKNY Jeans and the actress are teaming up on a junior sportswear line, slated to hit stores this fall. (DKNY Jeans also paired up with Pete Wentz on a one-shot collection last fall.) Rachel's collection will be called Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans and will have about 15 pieces early on, including two cuts of jeans (straight and skinny). It's named Edie Rose after two important people in the star's life: Rachel's grandmother, Edie; and Rose, a close family friend. According to WWD.com, Rachel finds both women inspiring. Look for Rachel to appear in the Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans ads, as well as wearing the stuff herself when she's out and about in L.A. |

Avril's Partnership Seems like there's plenty of celebrities who want to get into the fashion business. Now add Avril Lavigne to the fast-growing list. She's teamed up with Kohl's to launch a brand called Abbey Dawn (Avril's nickname), featuring both apparel and accessories, with much inspiration taken from the rocker's unique style. The company is hoping young women ages 13 to 18 will snap up the on-trend (and reasonably priced) pieces. If you're a fan of the singer, or are just curious to see what sorts of looks Avril is going to come up with, start looking for Abbey Dawn at Kohl's this July. |
